Equipment Lock #ELSSL-KD Skidsteer Lock, keyed different
Dimensions: 30 × 7 × 3 in
The Skid Steer Lock makes it nearly impossible to access the skid steer loader operator’s seat. Immobilizing the drive controls prevents theft, vandalism, and joyrides. It also eliminates other trades from borrowing the machine even if the ignition key is available. The Skid Steer Lock neatly collapses and stores in the locked position inside the operator’s cab – completely out of the way of your construction equipment.
This lock will work on an enclosed cab. However, some skid loader models may have machinery obstacles that prevent the use of certain types of skid steer locks.
Installation exceptions for enclosed cab skid steers:
The Skid Steer Lock clamps both drive controls and is installed by sliding both windows back. It extends through the cage holes, securing tightly against the cage and capturing both drive controls. While the machine is locked, both windows remain open.
Some models of Gehl®, Mustang®, ASV®/Terex®, and all Belle® skid loaders may not have holes in the protective cage below the drive controls. Additionally, Caterpillar® skid loaders with enclosed cabs (ONLY) may have a stationary glass or a square steel plate for directions at the drive control level. John Deere® skid loaders with enclosed cabs (ONLY) may have a door that tilts inward. These circumstances may prohibit the Skid Steer Lock or E-Series Skid Steer Lock from being installed in the normal fashion. JCB Robot®, Kubota®, Takeuchi®, and Thomas® skid loaders cannot use the Skid Steer Lock; only the E-Series Skid Steer Lock may be used.
May be used in conjunction with OSHA Lockout Tagout Safety Procedures
Includes (2) two keys
Locks are keyed differently. For keyed different padlocks, the key code cannot be duplicated or matched with another equipment lock.
Additional keys are $6.95 each and are not sold separately and must be ordered at time of lock purchase. Please add a note at checkout for additional keys.
